I'm John Warburton with news that a new study has found nearly half of the healthcare professionals who responded have suffered physical and verbal abuse at work. According to social care staffing provider Florence, almost a third of care staff who replied to questions said they dealt with abuse every week. Suggested reasons given by the people who were surveyed included staff shortages, longer waiting times, and the cost of living crisis. The company behind the study agrees that staffing is the care industry’s biggest challenge.
