I'm Alistair Clarke with news that an indepth study has looked at health inequalities in Birmingham and Lewisham among their African Caribbean communities. Of the 39 recommendations, there’s calls for improvements in the quality of maternity healthcare and support with specific problems faced by people from black communities as they get older. The report says disproportionately poorer housing, unemployment and poverty all impact on poorer health.
