Over 2,000 people with Type 2 diabetes have now improved their health through the NHS soups and shakes diet programme
I’m James Macdonald keeping you up to date with news that over 2,000 people with Type 2 diabetes have now improved their health through the NHS soups and shakes diet programme – and the programme is now being rolled out across another 11 regions in England. Those taking part lost an average of 13 kg in 3 months as the programme helps with weight loss and allows better control of blood sugar levels. Diabetes costs the NHS 10 billion pounds a year and this programme leads to a reduction of medication and can potentially cause remission in some cases. We’ll keep you up to date on this and other developments here on care radio.
