Scottish carers’ “deep anger” at Holyrood draft budget

The Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland responded to this month’s draft Scottish Budget, protesting a lack of recognition of what it calls a “crisis” facing its members

I'm John Warburton with news that a group of carers and support providers in Scotland says it’s “angry” and “disappointed” at its country’s government’s lack of support for people working in the sector. The Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland responded to this month’s draft Scottish Budget, protesting a lack of recognition of what it calls a “crisis” facing its members. Its leaders want an urgent meeting with Scottish ministers. The Scottish Government claims the budget gives health and social care services their highest settlement ever.
