I’m Paul Hutton with news that Rishi Sunak says he’ll introduce a £10 fine for missed GP and hospital appointments if he becomes Prime Minister.  The former Chancellor told the Telegraph it was "not right" that patients don't show, "taking those slots away from people who need [them]". So he says he’d levy fines when patients fail to attend an appointment without providing sufficient notice to allow the surgery or hospital to offer the slot to others.
