I'm James MacDonald with news that remote health settings don’t always save money, according to new research. University of Hertfordshire evaluated phone, in-person, and online consultations at two public health services and discovered that even though the remote services are valued by patients, the investment required means they’re also expensive to set up and run. The report does emphasise that the benefits of delivering the service outweigh the detrimental costs. The report recommends a hybrid service where flexibility to offer both can widen healthcare access while still offering a high-level service.” For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
