1 in 5 of us put off going to the doctor in case the lump or bleeding disappeared on its own
I'm Alistair Clarke with news that a third of us don’t go to the doctor to have a potential cancer lump checked out just in case the GP says we’re wasting their time. Meanwhile a study of 2000 patients showed 63% feared they would die if they did get a cancerous lump and 1 in 5 of us put off going to the doctor in case the lump or bleeding disappeared on its own. The message from NHS chief Amanda Pritchard is don’t wait, don’t think you’re wasting the GPs time and do come forward early to eliminate concerns or get treatment as soon as you can.
