Ombudsman says fifteen-minute care calls are rarely enough

I'm John Warburton with news that a national watchdog is criticising home care calls that last only fifteen minutes. The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman is giving a warning after finding Warrington Borough Council had allocated quarter-hour visits to more than 300 people, despite national guidance stating that’s too short. Ombudsman Michael King says  15 minutes is rarely enough to dress, wash or feed a person receiving care. The council in question is set to carry out a review.
