Staff say they want a car parking space, somewhere to get hot food at two o’clock in the morning, and enough colleagues to work with
I'm James MacDonald with news that NHS Bosses in the West Midlands have urged hospitals to prioritise the needs of staff – including making sure hot food is available to nigh-shift workers. Speaking at a health and wellbeing event in Birmingham one NHS boss quoted a recent tweet from a DR saying “What I want is a car parking space and somewhere to get hot food at two o’clock in the morning. Enough colleagues to work with me on my shift, and somewhere to hang my coat and hat when I get to work.’ It comes as the delayed new Midlands Metropolitan University Hospital is due to open next year.
