NHS launch 'Help Us Help You'

Fewer than 50 percent of people said they would dial 999 if they or a loved one were experiencing some of the lesser known symptoms of a heart attack.

I'm Matt Jones with news that fewer than 50 percent of people said they would dial 999 if they or a loved one were experiencing some of the lesser known symptoms of a heart attack. That's according to research that shows there are a number of myths around heart attacks, including a lack of awareness that sweating, chest tightness and uneasiness could be early signs. A new campaign launches this week -- the first of a number of NHS campaigns called 'Help Us Help You' -- aims to save lives by helping people recognise the symptoms earlier. There'll be more on this and other stories throughout the day here on Care Radio.
