NHS bosses in Staffordshire have agreed to offer free hearing aids

I'm James Macdonald with news that NHS bosses in Staffordshire have agreed to offer free hearing aids to patients with 'mild' hearing loss. This would bring them in line with the rest of the country. Hearing aids for most people with mild or moderate hearing loss were taken away in 2015, but now the policy is being fully reversed as part of a Staffordshire-wide 'clinical policy alignment' review. Crystal Rolfe, associate director for health at the Royal National Institute for Deaf People, welcomed the decision.
