The Care Quality Commission earlier downrated the South East Coast Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust from ‘good’ to ‘requires improvement’, while praising staff on the front line for their high quality of care
I'm John Warburton with news that the NHS ambulance trust that had its rating downgraded this week by health watchdogs has made a new commitment to put things right. The Care Quality Commission earlier downrated the South East Coast Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust from ‘good’ to ‘requires improvement’, while praising staff on the front line for their high quality of care. SECAmb’s new interim chief executive Siobhan Melia acknowledges there’s much to do, and claims to be “working closely with staff as well as partners” to make improvements. The report found additional pressures on ambulance bosses included increased staff sickness, and delays in hospital handovers. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
