I’m Paul Hutton keeping you up to date with news that new figures show one in four calls to Scotland's NHS 24 over the winter were abandoned before they were answered. Figures obtained by Scottish Labour says that from October to mid January, 25.8% of calls to the 111 helpline didn’t reach an operator before the caller cut off. The average wait was about 18 minutes. NHS 24 say there’s been an unprecedented growth in demand. We’ll keep you up to date on this and other developments, here on Care Radio.
