New ways of training carers easing the pain

New ways of training carers are helping to ease the pain for families,

I’m John Warburton, with news that new ways of training carers are helping to ease the pain for families, when learning bad news about children who’ve become gravely ill. At Staffordshire University, children’s nurses are being taught in fully acted-out simulations how best to talk to parents and other close relatives. The teaching includes the need for privacy, times for silences, and a development of true compassion. We’ll keep you up-to-date on this and other news, here on Care Radio.
