It’s hoped the online treatments could transform the experience of people living with mental illnesses
I’m Matt Rosser with news that eight new online mental health treatments have been recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence for use by the NHS with the potential to help more than 40,000. People will only be able to use each of the treatments after a formal assessment with an NHS Talking Therapies specialist and with ongoing support, but with one in six people reporting having a problem like anxiety or depression, it’s hoped the online treatments could transform the experience of people living with mental illnesses.
