I’m James Macdonald keeping you up to date with news that a major study has found huge ethnic inequalities in UK healthcare. Some of the largest were in mental health and maternity care. As the study reviewed 10 years of research evidence across 5 key areas of healthcare. There was also evidence that some inequalities are being replicated in younger patients with parents reporting the same barriers to accessing treatment. NHS England said it is already taking action to improve access to services. We’ll keep you up to date with news on this and other developments here on Care Radio.
