Lower than expected booster take-up in Lancashire

Of the eligible groups only 51.8 percent of residents had opted to have the shot by late November

I’m Matt Rosser with news that data shared with the Lancashire Post has shown lower than expected take-up of the Covid booster among people eligible for it, with a particularly slow take- up amongst health and social care staff in the county. Of the eligible groups only 51.8 percent of residents had opted to have the shot by late November. Jane Scattergood, who is responsible for Covid vaccination in Lancashire and South Cumbria said she believed that some health and social care workers who have recently been had Covid are planning to maximise the benefit from their jabs by getting them in the new year, something she described as “probably a very wise move”. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
