Leicester care homes 60% failure rate

The Care Quality Commission published 40 reports on care homes in the city during the year

I'm Nick Meir with news that care homes in Leicester had 60 per cent failure rate during inspections in 2022. Inspectors reported several failures at homes throughout the city including bedbugs, fire hazards and the risk of patients falling out of windows.  The Care Quality Commission published 40 reports on care homes in the city during the year. Of those, seven were rated as inadequate – the lowest possible rating – and 17 as requires improvement, the second lowest. Just one care home was found to be outstanding.
