Two-thirds of junior doctors have considered leaving the NHS according to a new poll from the BMA
I'm James MacDonald with news that two-thirds of junior doctors have considered leaving the NHS according to a new poll from the BMA. Dr Robert Laurenson, a co-chair of the BMA junior doctors committee, said the results should be “a real wake-up call for the government to come to the table and address our concerns”. BMA members in England will vote on strike action in January and the union has urged the government to sign off on a better deal for junior doctors. A separate ballot for junior doctors in Scotland will also open in the new year although they’ve been given a 4.5 per cent rise by the Scottish Government.
