I'm Matt Jones with news that the government is rejecting more than 40 percent of applications for disability benefit from those with multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and arthritis according to a report in The Observer newspaper. Analysis of Personal Independence Payment data for England and Wales shows that thousands of applicants with illnesses like cancer and emphysema were turned down for the benefit between August last year and January this year.
