Genome UK pan UK cancer diagnosis and treatment project

Patients across the UK are set to benefit from faster cancer diagnosis and innovative new treatments

I'm Matt Jones with news that cancer patients across the UK are set to benefit from faster cancer diagnosis and innovative new treatments thanks to an agreement between the UK's devolved governments. The English, Welsh and Scottish governments have agreed for the first time to work together to improve outcomes for patients through better genetic testing and access to clinical trials. The government hopes that the project -- called Genome UK -- will bring about faster diagnosis by integrating genomic testing into healthcare, and make clinical trials more available. And there'll be more on this and other stories right here on Care Radio.
