As NHS 111 answered the second highest number of calls ever, England’s top doctor is calling for eligible groups to get vaccinated saying it’s not too late
I’m Matt Rosser with news that the number of people in England hospitalised by the flu rose by almost a half in the week leading up to New Year’s Day. There were over five thousand patients with flu in hospital, up from three and a half thousand the previous week. The number of patients with COVID in hospital also rose to an average of 9,390 patients. As NHS 111 answered the second highest number of calls ever, England’s top doctor is calling for eligible groups to get vaccinated saying it’s not too late.
