Of the over 1,100 people surveyed, 56% said the time they spend caring has increased in the last year
I'm John Warburton with news that as Young Carers’ Action Day approaches, a new survey has shown that unpaid carers aged 25 and under are not only being harmed by the cost of living crisis, but are also facing more responsibilities. The Carers Trust says young carers aren’t getting enough support from the state while they carry out their vital roles. Of the over 1,100 people surveyed, 56% said the time they spend caring has increased in the last year. Among other changes the trust wants to see Carers’ Allowance extended to young people in full-time education. For more care news say with us here at Care Radio.
