The rare direct notice followed an inquest into the death of a woman aged 61, who lost her life through heart failure after a four-hour wait in an ambulance
I'm John Warburton with news that a coroner has sent an official warning to the Health Secretary that action on the NHS is needed to prevent “needless deaths”. The rare direct notice followed an inquest into the death of a woman aged 61, who lost her life through heart failure after a four-hour wait in an ambulance. In the report to Steve Barclay, Norfolk’s senior coroner Jacqueline Lake pointed out problems including a lack of social care preventing fit patients from leaving hospital. But, she added, the problem was far wider and more complex than failings by individual services.
