St John Ambulance is hoping to fill hundreds of volunteer ‘Community Advocate’ roles across the UK to help increase cardiac arrest survival rates
I’m Matt Rosser with news that St John Ambulance is hoping to fill hundreds of volunteer ‘Community Advocate’ roles across the UK to help increase cardiac arrest survival rates. Volunteers will be trained in skills such as CPR and will work to promote The Circuit – the national defibrillator network. St John has identified that areas such North East England, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and the South West may be at higher risk of cardiac arrest. As part of the NHS Long Term Plan, NHS England hopes to increase survival rates by 25% through this network of Community Advocates. For more care related stories stay with us here at Care Radio
