The Asthma and Allergy Foundation is calling on the Scottish Government to do more to help tackle the issue
I’m Matt Rosser with news that a charity is warning Glasgow city centre is so polluted, people with asthma could suffer potentially fatal attacks if they don't avoid it. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation is calling on the Scottish Government to do more to help tackle the issue, claiming Glaswegians are 25 times more likely to die from illnesses caused by vehicle emissions than by being involved in a car crash. Plans to exclude the most polluting vehicles from driving into Glasgow city centre have been given the green light by Scottish Ministers. The city’s Low Emissions Zone will be enforced from 1 June 2023. For care related news stay with us here at Care Radio.
