Charity renews warning of NHS burden

According to the Carers’ Trust, a lack of government support beyond the newly announced energy price cap means many will find their unpaid care duties impossible

I'm John Warburton with news that a charity supporting unpaid carers has sent the new Prime Minister a warning about future pressures on the NHS and care homes. According to the Carers’ Trust, a lack of government support beyond the newly announced energy price cap means many will find their unpaid care duties impossible. The charity is urging Liz Truss to provide extra support for carers who don’t get paid, to avoid forcing the NHS and social care services having to take on the care work they were previously able to afford to do. For more care related stories stay with us here at Care Radio.
