The King’s Fund found that the staff vacancy rate in social care is the highest since records began
I'm John Warburton with news that a leading charity supporting unpaid carers says a fall in the number of people getting direct support for caring roles, and a huge drop in patients getting respite care to support the people looking after them, is “unacceptable”. The Carers Trust is responding to the Social Care survey by The King’s Fund, which also found the staff vacancy rate in social care is the highest since records began. The charity adds the Government needs urgently to show its plans for its proposed £25 million fund for social care, first mentioned two years ago. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
