Carers who are writers now eligible to enter new literary prize competition

Novelist and teacher Anna Vaught says she’s launching what she’s calling The Curae prizes along with supporters in the publishing industry

I'm John Warburton with news that a new writing competition is set to open for carers who’d like to become writers, or for those who have already been authors. Novelist and teacher Anna Vaught says she’s launching what she’s calling The Curae prizes along with supporters in the publishing industry. The two awards will be for fictional and factual writing. Anna says she’s aware that, for many carers, creative writing is at the centre of their lives, and the foundation of the awards reflects this. Entries are expected to open in January, and there’ll be no charge to take part.
