Care Rooms scheme pays people to take in patients discharged from hospital

I'm Matt Jones with news that a scheme which offers to pay people to take in patients who are discharged from hospital could be expanded. The Care Rooms project is an initiative of North Yorkshire County Council, and it offers a room for those with minimal care needs before they move back to their own home, for example after surgery or a fall. Homeowners are paid fifty pounds a night for the use of their homes. The scheme could be expanded to Selby and York after a trial period. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
