Care homes are a major location for outbreaks of norovirus

The UK’s health security agency says cases are up over 50%

I’m John Warburton with news that care homes have become a major location for newly increasing outbreaks of norovirus. The UK’s health security agency said this week cases in care settings went up from 24 in early February to 40 the next week. Nurseries and similar places also saw a 48 percent rise. Scientists say cleanliness can help stop the bug spreading but don’t use alcohol cleaners like we did for coronavirus: soap and water are best at killing the norovirus. We’ll keep you up to date on this and other stories here on Care Radio.
