Care home seeks 101 cards for resident’s 101st birthday

Anne Scott reaches 101 years next Tuesday at Goldbridge Care Home in Haywards Heath, where staff are reportedly planning a big afternoon tea party

I'm John Warburton with news that a care home is appealing for cards to mark a resident’s 101st birthday, in the hope that at least 101 greetings will come through the letterbox. Anne Scott reaches 101 years next Tuesday at Goldbridge Care Home in Haywards Heath, where staff are reportedly planning a big afternoon tea party. Mrs Scott was a secretary for British Forces in Singapore before being evacuated in 1942. She then survived being torpedoed before rescue by a Polish trawler. She says she’s looking forward to a day with family and friends. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
