Bath hospital testing AI to spot blood clots in lung

The trial will show whether AI can spot pulmonary embolism quicker and more accurately than doctors

I'm Matt Jones with news that the Royal United Hospitals NHS trust in Bath is testing whether artificial intelligence is able to spot blood clots in the lungs as part of a new trial. The trial will show whether AI can spot pulmonary embolism quicker and more accurately than doctors. Radiologists from the trust will be working with researchers from the University of Bath. If it's successful the scheme could be rolled out to other hospitals and NHS trusts in the UK. For more care news, stay with us here on Care Radio.
