Ambulance receiving centre experiment in London hospital

The scheme has led to patients being handed over more quickly while ambulances crews can respond to other emergency calls

I'm Matt Jones with news that paramedics are looking after patients inside a London Accident and Emergency unit as part of an experiment to stop ambulances queueing outside hospitals. Queen's Hospital in Romford has set up an ambulance receiving centre where paramedics are on duty to help patients who would otherwise be held in ambulances or in corridors. The scheme has led to patients being handed over more quickly while ambulances crews can respond to other emergency calls.
