I’m Matt Rosser with news that Child poverty is increasing in families of key workers according to new research conducted by the Trades Union Congress. The TUC says 1 in 5 key worker families have children growing up in poverty, increasing to 2 in 5 in the north east of England.
One third of those employed in Britain are classed as key workers under the government’s definition, which includes people working in health and social care.
