Rise in carers using foodbank in Bangor, Wales

The community provision, based at Bangor Cathedral, mainly saw homeless people and those struggling on benefits before Covid

I'm John Warburton with news that a foodbank in Wales has seen a rise in the number of nurses and carers needing their service. The community provision, based at Bangor Cathedral, mainly saw homeless people and those struggling on benefits before Covid, but now some people in the caring profession are just not able to make ends meet. They’ve also seen people not wanting food that needs cooking in the oven for a long time, like pies, because of the rise in fuel costs.
