I’m Matt Rosser with news that a heat-health alert has been issued for parts of the UK as temperatures are predicted to hit 30 degrees celsius - higher than LA and southern Spain. The alert is in place from 9am on Monday 11th until Friday and covers the East of England, South East and London regions. In its warning for those experiencing hot weather, the Met Office urges people to look out for others, especially older people and those with underlying health conditions, advising us to close curtains to keep indoor spaces cooler, drink plenty of fluids, avoid excess alcohol and dress appropriately for the weather.
