Norovirus on the increase

Data shows there have been over four and a half thousand positive tests this season, which is up a quarter on the same period average before the pandemic

I'm Matt Jones with news that cases of norovirus in people aged over 65 in England have reached their highest level in a decade, and care homes are being hit hard. Data from the UK Health Security Agency shows there have been over four and a half thousand positive tests this season, which is up a quarter on the same period average before the pandemic. We're being reminded to wash our hands regularly and with soap and warm water, because alcohol gels do not kill off the norovirus. For more care stories, stay tuned to Care Radio.
