East Kent trust implements measures following deaths

One of a series of measures the hospital trust is introducing is a Freedom to Speak Up Guardian so people can raise concerns

I’m Alistair Clarke with news that the hospital trust in East Kent is implementing a series of new measures after a report into deaths in the maternity department. It follows a study by the Care Quality Commission which raised concerns about care. In particular the report says an overriding theme was whether staff take notice of women who raise concerns. One of a series of measures the hospital trust is introducing is a Freedom to Speak Up Guardian so people can raise concerns. For more care news, stay with us here on Care Radio.
